Helicon, a knowledge centre in the field of green education, is committed to encouraging learning perspectives for people of all ages. Helicon offers a full range of studies at 12 colleges, in the south-eastern part of The Netherlands. Pre-vocational (VMBO) and vocational (MBO) education and in-company training are our core business. Our main emphasis is on 'hands-on' practical work, combined with classroom-based activities. Work experience and work placements form an integral part of our education and are carried out in all curriculum areas. Furthermore international placements, projects and activities are of great interest to our students and staff. In 2009 about 8500 fulltime / part time students and 2500 course participants have been enrolled. With 800 staff members and various (inter)national partners Helicon wishes to provide high quality education.
