Pre vocational - VMBO

At our VMBO-Green schools (pre-vocational secondary education) we offer education in a four-year programme for young students from the age of 12  to 16. It combines vocational training with theoretical education in languages, mathematics, history, arts and sciences. Lessons consist of integrated subjects within a context. VMBO itself has four different levels, in each a different mix of practical and theoretical education is combined. This general education prepares for further vocational education (MBO)

Helicon has 4 VMBO  schools; in Eindhoven, Nijmegen, Kesteren and ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Our VMBO-Green schools are small, active, and offer a variety in challenging subjects within the green domain. Typical is the school environment, including: animals, gardens, glass houses, and kitchens for example. Pupils are stimulated to learn in a creative and challenging setting with others to develop their own skills and interests. Learning by doing is the leading philosophy.
